“Bringing Health, Healing, and Hope to Underserved Communities”

Mount Prospect Community Health Fair – Overview

The 2nd Annual Mount Prospect Community Health Fair will take place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, in Mount Prospect, Mount Airy District, St. Andrew, Jamaica, as part of the Miadibes Cares Mission Trip 2026. This event marks the second annual health fair serving this rural and underserved community.

Following the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa in October, many residents continue to face limited access to healthcare, nutrition support, and recovery resources. The Health Fair is designed to address these critical gaps by providing free, accessible, and culturally appropriate healthcare services to community members of all ages.

In addition to healthcare services, the fair will support post-hurricane recovery efforts, promote community resilience, and encourage preventive health practices through education and engagement.

Staffed by volunteer healthcare professionals and community partners, the Mount Prospect Community Health Fair reflects Miadibes Cares’ mission to bring health, healing, and hope to underserved rural communities in Jamaica. The event also serves as a platform for collaboration with corporate sponsors, nonprofit partners, and local stakeholders committed to sustainable community wellness.
