The Miadibes Cares 2K Walk/Run for Health, Healing & Hope is a community-centered wellness event designed to promote physical activity, unity, and collective action in support of underserved populations, especially in rural Jamaica. Scheduled for the early morning of Saturday, June 13, 2026, this uplifting event is a key component of the Miadibes Cares Mission Trip 2026 and will take place in Mount Prospect, Mount Airy District, St. Andrew, Jamaica. Tickets are USD $20 or JMD $2,000.

The 2K Walk/Run is open to participants of all ages and fitness levels, welcoming families, seniors, youth, corporate teams, and visitors to take part at their own pace—whether walking, jogging, or running. More than a race, the event serves as a platform to raise awareness about preventive health, cardiovascular wellness, mental well-being, and community resilience, particularly in rural areas where access to health resources is limited.

All participants who complete the race will receive a medal of participation as recognition of their achievement and to commemorate their involvement. Special awards will also be presented to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers, celebrating excellence, determination, and sportsmanship.

Proceeds from the event will directly support the Mount Prospect Community Health Fair, Miadibes Cares’ ongoing initiatives, hurricane recovery efforts following Hurricane Melissa, and long-term health and wellness programs in underserved rural communities. Funds raised will help provide free health screenings, medical consultations, nutritional support, and essential supplies to residents who remain vulnerable long after the storm.

Participants will enjoy a vibrant and rugged terrain type of atmosphere featuring motivational opening remarks, community music, branded race shirts (USD $15 or JMD $2,000), free hydration stations, and a celebratory finish. Individuals are encouraged to walk in honor of causes close to their hearts, while organizations may participate as teams to demonstrate their commitment to community health and social responsibility.
